Similarities and Differences of Online Poker and Real World Poker

Most poker sites provide a free download of their poker software than includes several popular games. For example, 888 poker software allows a player to play the popular Texas Hold-Em, Five Card Draw, Chicago and a whole pot of other popular poker games.
The hand hierarchy is the same online as it is in a casino or at home. Each player still must ante before receiving cards, and betting is performed in the same sequence as well. Each player still has the option to call, raise or fold just as each does in the real world.
Each can just miss a straight flush or nail that full house. Each can pull a hand full of nothing worth bragging about later as well.
Two aspects of playing online are different: One is because the players aren’t sitting next to each other, physical or vocal “tells” are hidden. The other is that you could be playing against your next door neighbour and never know it. You could also be playing against someone across the globe instead of across the table.
Take care to play only if you are not addicted to gambling and if you can afford to lose the money with which you start the game. Never bet more than you can afford to leave without–gamble with moderation.
Have fun, and may Lady Luck be good to you next game!
