The internet is good for many things. It can provide you with means to know news items virtually as they happen. It can help you communicate with friends and family all around the world, using text, voice and video. It’s also an excellent way to find information: a virtual encyclopedia on everything that you can possible need, from recipes to historical facts, sports statistics to mere trivia. But there’s also another thing that the Internet excels at: helping us pass out time better. YouTube videos are funny and, sometimes, entertaining. There’s a variety of blogs that you can read every day, on so many subjects that it’s impossible not to find a few that you really enjoy. Not to mention the future of radio: podcasting.
And then there are games. There’s a huge variety of online games that you can play, from role playing games that you play with other users to single player games of skill – you can even search the internet for your favorite retro games in flash mode. Gambling games online have taken a turn for the better, and now playing bingo or poker online is easy and fun. There’s really no excuse to be bored if you have a computer with an internet connection nearby.
